Join us! Mine the ups and downs of your career and help co-create one of the most refreshing new gender impact programs in DC! We are looking for up to 10 women executives to participate in a half-day workshop to provide input on the development of a collection of resources and programs designed to address workplace barriers to the success experienced by women from a systemic perspective.

Our research has mapped out how the persistent gender gap in executive positions is a complex, systemic problem. However, current research and proposed solutions in this area tend to focus on a single variable and fail to achieve lasting results. Instead, we have identified multiple variables embedded in culture, the individual, and the organizational processes and practices and have aligned these variables to identify the systemic leverage points most likely to have a positive impact. We will spend a short time at the beginning of the day to share our research, then spend the day considering which strategies are most successful to overcome multiple barriers.

You will get:

• Understanding of yourself as part of larger, interconnected systems.
• The individual barriers to success in each of these systems and how they interrelate, creating the emergent effect of gender inequity.
• Current research and perspectives on solutions in each area
• Ideas and insight from peers on what works and what doesn’t when contending with each of these barriers

We will get:

• Insight into your experiences with the strategies currently being used by women and their enterprises to reduce the gender gap
• Additional ideas and strategies not currently being promoted to women or their organizations
• Your expert perspective on the types of resources and programs that would have the most impact based on the key leverage points identified.
