The Quorum Initiative’s Daily Resources
February 14, 2017
Since its inception, Quorum Initiative has been committed to taking action to create change, and now more than ever we want to make it easy for you to take action on the issues that are important to you. Check back here regularly – we’ll have a few ideas every week. Here are some to get you started:
Support Sleeping Giants, an organization with a presence on Twitter and Facebook dedicated to encouraging advertisers to stop advertising on Breitbart. They give easy instructions on how to participate:
How To Be a Giant:
- Look onto Breitbart and take a screenshot of an ad
- Tweet it to the advertiser with a polite note
- Tag @slpng_giants
Celebrate the work of Ava DuVernay as part of Black History month. If you haven’t already, watch her films Selma and 13th, and her series Queen Sugar. As both storyteller and advocate, DuVernay’s work puts so much of our modern predicament in perspective missing and playing a big part in the 2017 awards season.
Stay in touch. With the constant calls to let your elected representatives know how you feel about issues at stake – from cabinet nominations to the repeal of the ACA – it’s important to have their contact information handy. Most of our members are represented by those below:
