Quorum Initiative London Launch

We are utterly thrilled to announce Quorum Initiative’s launch in London on Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Our belief to align our interests, invest in each other and build quality relationships will finally be taken across the pond to our network of over 100 women.

Together with our host, the Financial Times and our esteemed panelists, we will discuss the impact and influence of women on corporate boards.

Meet our distinguished panelists for the evening:

Leyla Boulton is an associate editor of the Financial Times and the editor of the special reports which produces editorially-independent reports on countries and themes ranging from finance to women in business (www.ft.com/women). Before spending a decade as an editor and an evangelist for the web, Leyla was the FT’s Turkey correspondent from 1998 to 2003. She started her career at the Financial Times as a correspondent in Moscow from 1990 to 1994 before serving as the newspaper’s global environment correspondent. She is married to a journalist and has two children.

Torie Chilcott is co-founder of leading technology company Rockabox, recently voted Best Programmatic Technology by the industry and also one of Tech City UK’s ‘Future Fifty’. Before Rockabox, Torie headed up the Format Development side of FremantleMedia, where she created and produced Bafta-nominated The Farmer Wants a Wife for ITV, before going on to co-develop the phenomenally successful Idol format for Simon Fuller and Simon Cowell. Torie was recently voted Woman of the Year at the 2014 FDM Everywoman in Technology Awards.

Denise Jagger started her career as a corporate finance lawyer in the City before becoming Company Secretary and General Counsel for Asda Wal-Mart. She has extensive management experience having run a number of functions including insurance and risk management, share schemes, public and corporate affairs as well as legal and company secretarial. She is now a partner with Eversheds LLP where she helps to develop new services for clients, assists clients in delivering their in-house services and ensures that the firm delivers legal services with the needs of clients firmly in mind. Denise continues to pursue her interest in business through a number of non executive directorships including the boards of housebuilder Bellway plc and terrorism risk reinsurance company Pool Re, as a trustee of St Giles Trust and as a Council member at the University of York. Denise also continues her interest in promoting women in business and in the law for which she has won a number of awards.

Davida Marston had a 30-year career in international banking, working in the UK, Spain and North and South America, including serving as Citigroup’s Regional Head UK & Ireland, Banks and Securities Industry.She has served as a Non-Executive Director for companies in the insurance, banking and corporates sectors. She is currently a director of 3 listed companies in 3 countries: Bank of Ireland (ISE.IE) Ireland; Liberbank (IBEX) Spain; Mears Group PLC (FTSE) UK, where she also chairs the Audit Committee.

Krista Walochik first joined Talengo in Madrid as Managing Director and Executive Board Director in 1994. Between 2004 and 2007, she relocated to London where following a brief tenure as COO, she was appointed CEO of the firm worldwide, as well as main Board Member of the holding group. At present, she is Chairman of the company for Spain and Latin America. In 2010, Krista was elected member of the European Counsel of the AESC (Association of Executive Search Consultants). She is currently President of the European Counsel and member of the Executive Commission of the Global Board of Directors of the AESC, headquartered in New York. She is an active member of the Institute of Directors Spain (ICA) and a frequent speaker in international forums on leadership and governance, and actively participates in professional women´s initiatives. Krista is a member of the prestigious International Women´s Forum (IWF) and a member of the Advisory Board of the Centre for Women’s Leadership of INCAE.
