Here are a few resources to ignite community engagement with governors, state officials, and local groups to foster change and the advancement of all individuals. Swing Left was initiated by Ethan Todras-Whitehill, Joshua Krafchin, and Miriam Stone with the understanding that control of the House in 2018 will be decided by a handful of Swing Districts, places where the last election was decided by a thin margin. This site helps you find your closest Swing District and join its team to learn about actionable opportunities to support progressives so that you can take action in your community!
Americans for Responsible Solutions, PAC founders, Gabrielle Giffords and Mark Kelly, former HOW 2014 Keynote speakers, are working to change our country’s gun laws and reform by supporting pro-gun control politicians and laws across the country and in Washington.
Celebrating Ava DuVernay’s Documentary ‘13th’, Netflix is providing public-screening access of DuVernay’s documentary 13th for classrooms, community groups, book clubs, and other educational settings. The documentary explores the connection between slavery and U.S. incarceration. As a follow-up to last week’s post, we encourage you to set up a group screening to see this important work.
