January 7, 2014
The Quorum Initiative’s next event in Washington DC is Thursday, January 30th entitled, Putting Your Leadership to the Test: Navigating Conflict and Politics at Work. We will be joined by Wendy Swire, executive coach and Principal at Swire Solutions, for a session on managing conflict between individuals, teams and organizations. Wendy will teach us to utilize specific techniques and special conflict assessment tools that build competency to handle internal or external workplace conflict situations.
We will also explore how to:
- Increase individual self-awareness regarding conflict triggers and how to better manage these conflict hot buttons
- Understand four options to resolve conflict
- Enhance resiliency and capacity to manage conflict
- Prepare for difficult conversations (up the chain of command, with peers, employees or other stakeholders) including real case study scenarios
- Discuss values-based disputes and ways to avoid conflict escalation
