Old Media, New Media and YOU Media: Mastering the Tools That Can Make You Shine

The Quorum Initiative’s next event in New York is on Wednesday, September 25th entitled, “Old Media, New Media and YOU Media: Mastering the tools that can make you shine.” Leading the discussion will be Anne Groves, consultant at Taylor Bennett in London and 30-year veteran in public relations, and Stephanie Schierholz, Social Media Manager at Raytheon Company in Boston and stellar panelist at our June DC event.

Combining knowledge of what matters to recruiters, what journalists are looking for and how to take advantage of digital media, we are in for a scintillating session about how we can proactively and collectively raise our market profiles.

Anne Groves

Anne has over 30 years’ experience in public relations, most recently in professional services at Andersen and as global head of PR at Clifford Chance. Anne’s earlier PR roles included periods in financial services companies, including one of the UK’s largest insurance companies Aviva, and in publishing at The Guardian newspaper.

Anne joined specialist communications headhunter Taylor Bennett in 2011, and works on corporate communications and internal communications search assignments. She is also Director of the Taylor Bennett Foundation, a charity that aims to encourage young people from more diverse backgrounds to go into PR as a career. She continues to advise law firm clients on communications issues on a consultancy basis.

Stephanie Schierholz

Stephanie is the manager of Social Media for Raytheon Company. She provides strategic communications guidance to Raytheon’s senior management and is an advocate for incorporating emerging communications technologies into its public outreach activities. Stephanie has more than 10 years’ experience leading strategic communications, media relations and public outreach efforts. Before joining Raytheon in February 2012, she led NASA’s social media activities, including the flagship Twitter account, @NASA, and Facebook page. Stephanie is the 2012 president for Women in Aerospace (WIA), a nonprofit organization that works to expand opportunities for leadership and increase visibility of women in the aerospace community. Previously, Stephanie was the president-elect, the secretary and the historian for WIA.
