New Year’s Letter from Meg

Meg Sullivan
Founder and CEO, Quorum Initiative

Reflecting on the challenges of 2023, marked by wars, tragic loss of life, environmental devastation, and the rollback of critical state and federal healthcare laws, the impact on women was profound, constraining their choices and resources. Women at the top are consciously stepping away from corporate roles due to the persistent lack of pay parity, behavioral microaggressions, and inflexible work environments.

Maintaining optimism was a challenge last year, making me approach 2024 with eyes wide open.

In 2024, women must raise their voices louder than ever. Recognizing the economic power we hold—estimated at over $40 trillion, with 89% of women influencing household buying decisions—is pivotal.

At Quorum, driven by the “HOW,” our focus in 2024 extends to five key areas to create impact:

  1. Leadership and IMPACT: Initiating change and taking meaningful action.
  2. Improving women’s health and wellness, both on personal and policy levels.
  3. Raising our Voices/Profiles.
  4. Women’s financial health and literacy: Increasing knowledge share and acting with our values.
  5. Intersectional Diversity: Raising awareness and exploring ways to eliminate barriers.

Quorum’s focus for the year ahead is to increase connectedness, educate and exchange on issues affecting women, and amplify our voices for necessary change.

The power of Quorum is our collective commitment to change, something that inspires me every day. 2024 will be the perfect storm for important progress.

Best regards,

Meg
