The Affordable HealthCare Act, House Republicans last week approved the American Health Care Act, which has been, opposed by a long list of organizations including the American Medical Association, American Cancer Society, American Hospital Association, Children’s Defense Fund, and AARP. Call the US National SwitchBoard, 202-224-3121 and tell your Senators NO on the new proposed healthcare bill before it goes any further!
Jordan Edwards and National Mama’s Bail Out Day, While the family of the 15-year-old African American killed by a police officer in Dallas County on April 29th has asked the public to refrain from protests and vigils in his name, you can get involved in resisting police brutality with any one of these organizations. Take action and engage in your community to prevent the continuance of police brutality and disturbed community innocence.
7 Times That Protest Changed US History, Remember that change takes time and you can take inspiration from movements that had a lasting impact the Boston Tea Party, the Quaker Petition Against Slavery, the Seneca Falls Convention, The GM Sit-Down Strikes, The Montgomery Bus Boycott, The March on Washington, and Selma. Join the resistance online or in-person. Quorum counts on your engagement and leadership as we welcome the possibility of civic and peaceful change.
